Uploads and Retention Summary
Last updated: 21 June 2026
This summary explains how Service en Place handles uploaded documents and how long information is kept.
Different categories of information are kept for different periods under retention rules. Some records are kept longer where required for security, billing, employment, audit, or legal reasons.
Uploaded documents
Documents you upload (such as menus or invoices) may be processed to extract operating records, and may be retained for a limited period for processing and review.
Retention rules schedule deletion of original files; scheduled deletion is a policy target, not an instant or guaranteed destructive action today.
Retention rules
Different categories of information are kept for different periods:
- Original uploaded files: short-term retention target (around 90 days).
- Raw AI outputs: short-term retention target (around 30 days).
- Security and audit logs: short-term retention target (around 90 days).
- Billing and employment records: retained longer where legally required.
Deletion
Retention rules describe targets and policy. Deletion may be scheduled or processed according to lifecycle state; it is not instant or guaranteed destructive deletion, and some legacy fields may persist until fully removed.
Some records may be retained where required for security, billing, employment, audit, or legal reasons.
Exports
Exports are structured operating records and exclude raw files by default unless separately handled.
